More export, less internal use

In 2008 internal use of natural stone in Germany went down, reports the German association Deutscher Naturstein-Verband. In total a drop of 4,8 % in quantity and 9,5 % in value were recorded in comparison to 2007. The value of exports are slightly up by 2 % in quantitaty. However more importantly the value has increased by 4 %.
