On wednesday, 29th of september, the jury of the fourth edition of the Best Communicator Award on Marmomacc Exhibition announced five award-winners. Those are (company - architect):

BUDRI – PATRICIA URQUIOLA
The Jury admires the delightful combination between design poetics and extraordinary processing skills.
The set-up is resolved in research around the idea of contemporary decoration that in turn becomes the effective substance of the project.
Processing highlights the possibility of producing lightweight modules to compose backdrops of ethereal transparency or stratify the material in perforated arabesques.
The systematic use of processing off-cuts must also be emphasised.

PIBA – MANUEL AIRES MATEUS
The jury rewards the architectural elegance of a set-up that, while choosing the rigour of a single material, still ensures variegated articulation of space.
Through a mythological evocation, the project in reality speaks a modern and contemporary language entrusted to the evocative presence of ordinary objects that become metaphysical emotive reagents.

MARSOTTO – THOMAS SANDELL
The jury acknowledges the absolute essentialness of a set-up focusing on an elementary icon and a single, repeated module.
The archetype of the home, made almost sacred by the purity of a minimal gesture, is interpreted by the regular rhythm of slabs arranged like roofing elements resting on a plain wooden structure.

MBD SAID – PAOLO ARMENISE & SILVIA NERBI
The jury enjoyed the paradigmatic clarity of this solution applied to a particularly complex situation.
Faced with a variegated range of technical products, the set-up highlights the rule imposed by a tall wall, where heterogeneity can be returned to rational order. A mind of over-size notice board that becomes a three-dimensional and communication element.

MGM FURNARI – MARCO PIVA
The jury awards a project that emphasises interior space to define a complete and accomplished volume. Slabs of a single material with different finishings define the perimeter of walls, while isolated objects like tiny well-used sculptures scan the small interior volume.
